This is just an example of how our GPS computer software works using DeLorme Street Atlas USA 5.0

The display consists of an icon overlaid on a map of the United States, which can be zoomed down to street level.  How does it work ?  Basically, how it works is, the vehicle is equipped with a transmitter/receiver, to know the where abouts of this vehicle, we send a signal to the vehicle via our Central Monitoring Station, the vehicle then sends a signal to a satellite which gives the exact latitude and longitude of the vehicle, which gets sent to our Central Monitoring Station GPS receiver, then that signal is deciphered by our computer system and brings up an exact moving or still location on the map.  Sounds complicated ? Its not as bad as it sounds, if you want more information about GPS fill out the Information Request Form below.  Info
